Responsibilities:

Oversee the safe execution of the vessel operation including vessel charter, vessel maintenance (inclusive docking) and vessel crewing

Liaise with Project Managers on marine matters in the case of spot hired vessels for specific projects

Ensure chartered and owned/operated vessel compliance with all international, statutory, flag and local regulations

First point of contact for vessel specific marine emergencies or pollution incidents.

Establish and maintain records of vessel performance

Establish and maintain vessel equipment inventory

Create vessel specific project manuals

Attend industry seminars and functions to remain up to date with the developments in the market place

Requirements:

A relevant degree in Nautical/Technical Science

Minimum 3 years experience in the execution of marine operations in the offshore oil and gas industry

In depth knowledge of all legislation, codes of practice pertaining to the offshore marine and diving industry, inclusive of but not limited to IMO, IMCA, ISPS, SPS, SOLAS, etc.

Thorough charter party (BIMCO) knowledge.
