Information System Engineer
SGD 3000 - 5000
(Singapore)



Responsibilities:

1. Provide IT support to the local and remote end users via the Helpdesk tool, related to computer hardware and software issues.
2. Administer domain user accounts and group memberships.
3. Provide local desktop support for Engineering-related software and tools.
4. Provide I.S Manager with regular updates on the status of I.S projects in Singapore and highlight any specific business requirements.
5. Manage the shared folders permission.
6. Install and maintain network printers/copiers.
7. Ensure Windows clients are installed with latest Microsoft patches and latest Antivirus program and virus definition.
8. Assist in managing and troubleshooting IT services such as Domain Controllers, Ms Exchange Server, SQL database, Intranet, Proxy Server, Mitel/Avaya VoIP system, DHCP/DNS/WINS services, Local Area Network, Wide Area Network and etc.
9. Assist in data backup and restoration.
10. Maintain computer hardware and software inventory.
11. Liaise with vendor for hardware and software procurement.
12. Maintain IT system policies and procedures.
13. Provide IT training to end users.

Requirements:

1. Diploma / Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology.
2. Must have strong knowledge on Microsoft Operating Systems.
3. Must have hardware knowledge on the desktop and laptop.
4. Familiar with desktop and laptop performance optimization, system reimaging, software deployment methods and different methods of automating support tasks.
5. Familiar with ITIL methodology and providing services as part of a Worldwide team.
6. Familiar with Helpdesk tools and infrastructure monitoring tools.
7. Knowledge with Active Directory, Ms Exchange, Blackberry, Ms SQL, Backup Exec & Sophos Endpoint protection.
8. Knowledge of Engineering/design software and tools such as CAD would be an advantage
9. Knowledge of Local Area Network and VLAN routing would be an advantage.
10. Knowledge of Wide Area Networking, Virtual Private Network and Cisco Routers and Cisco PIX Firewalls would be an advantage.
11. Must be a good team player.
