Ad Description: FIELD APPLICATION ENGINEER (COMMUNICATIONS) Post Date: 25 Mar 09

Duties:

To provide technical assistance to customers during product development and follow through the product development cycle.

Regular meet up and liaising with customers, follow up on sales leads and making cold calls.

Seek new business opportunities through design and customers.

Drive demand creation/business development through design activities.

Define technical solutions and support regional sales team in technical products presentation & demonstration.

Follow up and monitor all the customers’ design activities and opportunities.

Preparation of technical presentation/materials and evaluation kits.



Requirements:

Diploma/Degree in Electronics Engineering/Computer Science/Telecommunications.

Component-level application knowledge of communication applications like Fiber Optics, Modems and Routing.

Basic knowledge in Video and Audio applications like surveillance/security, VOIP conferencing and multimedia, would be an added advantage.

Personnel with positive attitude, outgoing personality, result orientated and keen to learn.

Personnel must be able to work independently, self motivated, interact, comfortable with customers interaction and cold calling.

Able to travel with short notice.

Able to communicate in Mandarin

Able to start work immediately or short notice preferred,
